For Candidates Seeking Endorsement from Delaware Valley Action!

Thank you so much for your interest in seeking an endorsement from Delaware Valley Action! (DVA!) As Pike County’s progressive organization, we look forward to learning more about you and your campaign.

All candidates seeking endorsement from DVA! are required to undergo the process outlined below. Completion of one or more steps of the process does not necessarily mean that you will receive DVA! endorsement. If you are a candidate who has run for a position more than one time or different positions, receiving an endorsement during a previous election cycle does not mean you are or will necessarily be endorsed in the current or future election cycles. 

 

The goal of this multi-step process is to ensure a thorough understanding of your campaign’s priorities and values, and their alignment with the mission and values of DVA! It is also to ensure the viability of your campaign, and help DVA! to determine if our endorsement and/or financial support of your campaign will further the goals of our organization. 

 

The steps to endorsement are the following: 

1. Completion of the candidate survey at least 15 days prior to a primary or general election

2. Interview of the candidate seeking endorsement by the DVA! Board 

3. Review by the DVA! Board of candidate’s campaign finances, financial plans and other endorsements to date (County, State Legislature, Statewide

& Federal level candidates only) 

4. Review by the DVA! Board of the candidate’s campaign structure, volunteer commitment and communications plan (County, State Legislature,

Statewide & Federal level candidates only) 

5. Board vote 

 

At any point in the endorsement process DVA! may elect to not move a candidate forward based on the information gathered thus far.
