ELECTION 2026
Wednesday, October 14th, 6pm: “Election 2026- How are things looking? What should we be doing?”
On Wednesday, October 14th from 6-7:30 pm at the DVA! Community Engagement Center, 315 Broad Street, Milford, PA 18337, DVA!’s monthly get-together will focus on the upcoming election. Several local candidates will speak: Jackie Baker, Tarah Probst (via Zoom), Dominique Azzollini and possibly others.
We are also fortunate to have guest speaker Ralph Becker. The former Mayor of Salt Lake City, Becker’s impressive career as a planner and politician also includes serving six terms in the Utah House of Representatives (including four years as House Minority Leader), and serving as President of the National League of Cities. Mr. Becker will share his perspective of the Democratic turnout and prospects for the House/Senate based on his contacts nationwide.

In 2026 we face an existential election for the future of democracy. We will focus on issues of concern to residents of Pike County, PA and on electing progressives in line with our values to local, state and national positions.
In addition, all of the candidates endorsed by DVA! won their positions in the 2026 Primary Election--the wave is coming. We hope you will consider running for a local position in 2027.
Get involved with DVA! Attend our monthly Get-Togethers (generally 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6-7:30 pm) at the new DVA! Community Engagement Center at 315 Broad Street in Milford. Visit our Facebook Page, subscribe to our weekly newsletter (below). Donate. Volunteer in vote-by-mail voter registrations and campaign activities. Fill out our volunteer application to get started.
Community Engagement Center: We have a year-round space in downtown Milford for community activities. We have a Free Store for early parenting supplies (diapers, wipes, etc.). A number of clubs (youth group, art, book, mahjong, knitting/crochet, drum circle, chess, ukulele, etc) on weekdays. In addition to the clubs' schedule, the Center is currently open for drop-in Friday 12:30-3 pm.
