Meet Paige Cognetti and find out how we can help her unseat our resident grifter, Rob Bresnahan.  Paige will join us via ZOOM.  Paige is now in her third term as mayor of Scranton and is running for Congress to represent our values of decency, justice and equality.  Learn more about Paige and bring any questions you have for her.

Then we will have a presentation by a group that calls itself “Stop Energy First!” about the Shawnee Walker 69kv Transmission Line Project.  They will share information on this project including where it will be and what properties will be affected.

ABOUT US

DVA! is a non-partisan, non-profit (501-c-4) community engagement organization formed in 2016 to promote progressive issues and candidates that share our values:

  • JUSTICE, RESPECT & EQUALITY

  • LIVING WAGE FOR ALL

  • HEALTHCARE FOR ALL

  • QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION

  • 100% RENEWABLE

  • SAFE INFRASTRUCTURE

  • DEVELOP COMMUNITY-BUILDING TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER

In 2026 we face an existential election for the future of democracy.  We will focus on issues of concern to residents of Pike County, PA and on electing progressives in line with our values to local, state and national positions.

Congratulations to 2025 Election DVA!-Endorsed Candidates::

For Milford Borough Mayor: Candace Mahala

For Westfall Township Tax Collector: Christina Lock

For Milford Township Supervisor: Rachel Hendricks

In Addition all of the other candidates endorsed by DVA! did significantly better than candidates in earlier years--the wave is coming.  We hope you will consider running for a local position in 2026.
