ABOUT US

DVA! is a non-partisan community engagement organization formed in 2016 to promote progressive issues and candidates that share our values:

  • JUSTICE, RESPECT & EQUALITY

  • LIVING WAGE FOR ALL

  • HEALTHCARE FOR ALL

  • QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION

  • 100% RENEWABLE

  • SAFE INFRASTRUCTURE

  • DEVELOP COMMUNITY-BUILDING TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER

  • LIVE AND LET LIVE

In 2024 we face an existential election for the future of democracy.  We will focus on issues of concern to residents of Pike County, PA and on electing progressives in line with our values to local, state and national positions.

Get involved with DVA! Attend our monthly Get-Togethers (generally 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6-7:30 pm) at the new DVA! Community Engagement Center at 315 Broad Street in Milford.  Visit our Facebook Page, subscribe to our weekly newsletter (below). Donate. Volunteer in vote-by-mail voter registrations and campaign activities. Fill out our volunteer application to get started.

Community Engagement Center: We now have a year-round space in downtown Milford for community activities.  See the Community Center Blog at the bottom of this page for a description of the Center and how you can help.  Click here for a local TV story about the new Center.  The Center is currently open for drop-in Friday 12:30-3 pm.

Some politicians in Harrisburg and locally are working hard (in the dead of night) to restrict a woman's access to reproductive health care, limit voting access through gerrymandering, and restrict what books can be in our school libraries.

PA was the keystone to American democracy in the 1700s and must be the keystone for the preservation of our democracy in 2024 and beyond.

As a supporter of progressive values, you can have a major impact by helping to keep the Pennsylvania Assembly Blue by electing these dynamic candidates.
